Jack, a third generation mariner, started with Iberia Marine in August of 2008. Before that, for many years, Jack worked as commercial diver and captain of several salvage vessels for the Mel Fisher Treasure Salvage Group based out of Key West, Florida. While there, he and his team were responsible for recovery of millions of dollars of gold, silver, and other shipwreck historic artifacts from the Santa Margarita and Nuestra Senora de Atocha. Jack remains active in several non-profit groups that advocate for the rights of those companies and individuals engaged in responsible exploration and recovery of historic shipwrecks. Jack has also been involved in the planning and organization of several other commercial salvage projects.

Jack attended the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama for his undergraduate studies. While there he earned his B.A. in Communication Arts with a focus in Organizational Communication and Public Relations. Jack earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is admitted to the Louisiana Bar. He is also admitted to the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts in the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana. Jack has experience in personal injury, environmental, UNESCO regulations, and employment law.

Today Jack serves as Vice President & General Counsel for SeaTran Marine LLC. He manages the company’s internal organization, Legal Matters, Human Recourses, and Health, Safety and Environmental concerns.
