Charlie Tizzard is a native of New Orleans with a career focused on financing and operating offshore oilfield vessels. After completing a degree of B.S. in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans, he started his career with G E Capital in their New Orleans office with a heavy concentration in marine financing. He next worked for Chrysler Capital Corporation for fifteen years with the last eight years serving as Vice President and General Manager of Chrysler’s Marine Asset Management Corporation. Marine Asset built up a fleet of fifty vessels, including crew boats, supply boats, utility boats, and lift boats, all operated under management agreements with Trico Marine Services, Inc.. COMAR Marine, LLC, and Power Offshore Services, Inc. The entire fleet was sold to Trico Marine in 1993.

Charlie served as a Vice President of Trico Marine Services, Inc. for fifteen years. He worked on the senior management team that expanded Trico to a worldwide operator of over 100 vessels and with the group that took the company public in 1996. He briefly served as a Vice President of Gulf Fleet Marine in 2007 and was instrumental in arranging the sale of majority interest of the company.

He joined COMAR Marine, LLC as its President in 2007 and continued in that capacity until the formation of SeaTran Marine, LLC in 2014. During his time with COMAR, they operated a fleet of 10-12 crewboats and arranged the sale of numerous vessels for outside owners. He worked with the owners of COMAR, Iberia Marine Service, LLC, and Capt. Elliott’s Party Boats, Inc. dba Texas Crewboats on the formation of SeaTran Marine.
