  • Iberia Marine Service

Iberia Marine Service, LLC was organized in 2003 from Iberia Crewboat & Marine Services, Inc. Founded in 1975 to support oil & gas exploration throughout the inland waterways of Louisiana, the company has been and remains family owned and operated by Steve and Glenda Miguez. Glenda, formerly Glenda Neuville, is the daughter of J.O. Neuville, the founder of Neuville Boat Works in Loreauville, Louisiana. Neuville Boat Works has been in the boat business since the late 1960's and manufactures some of the strongest aluminum crew boats in operation in the world today.

      Steve Miguez Family

Starting in 1975 with a 32 ft. inland crew boat which Steve captained himself, with hard work, high quality service, and time; the company quickly grew to a fleet of 8 small crew boats by early 1980. Seeing that the future of oil and gas service operations was moving into the deeper waters of the Gulf of Mexico, Steve decided to move the company in a new direction. In 1981, Steve sold all 8 of his small crew boats in order to finance the construction of his first offshore crew boat, the 105 ft. M/V Mr. J.O.

Shorty after the keel of the "M/V Mr. J.O." was laid at the Neuville Boat Works shipyard, Steve and Glenda welcomed their first son into the world, Blake. From the first time Steve put his young son in the captain's chair of that first boat, Blake always had a fascination with his father's company. Ten years later they welcomed their second son into the world, Ridge. Today, Blake serves as President of Iberia Marine Service, LLC where he takes those same principles of service and hard work taught to him by his father, to usher in a new era for the company. Following Blake's path, his younger brother Ridge is attending Louisiana State University (LSU) and upon graduation has aspirations of coming back to join the family business.

With innovative ideas and youthful determination, the Miguez brothers together look to grow and advance the company their father founded years ago.

However one thing remains the same since the company’s founding. Provide their customers Top Quality Offshore Vessels with unparalleled customer service. The small family business atmosphere is something that makes Iberia Marine Service stand out. Marine transportation is not only a business for the Miguez family, it's a lifestyle.
